Congratulations to Madi on making it to the State meet and running a courageous race.

Having run in poor weather conditions for most of the fall cross country season, Madi Sachs found herself under the weather again.

Madi competed in the State Cross Country meet on Saturday in Northfield at St. Olaf College on a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the low 60s, but she struggled in the meet, still feeling the effects after becoming sick Thursday evening. Madi ran a temperature of 102 degrees, but competed hard in spite of her poor health, finishing in 118th place with a time of 17:21.

"I was very proud of Madi for even running in this meet, she showed how competitive she is," said coach Bob Mork. "Madi had a very successful year, winning six of the nine meets she competed in, and I look for her to pick up where she left off next season."

Congratulations to Madi on making it to the State meet and running a courageous race.
