While there will be some minor changes to help enhance the racing experience, Vaadeland said the board could not be more grateful for the help by volunteers and organizations to make the first year of the event such a success.
Teams are asked to sign up by contacting Vaadeland at the chamber office at 239-4220 or at A Touch of Class at 239-3955. Registration will be $550, but after April 1 the registration fee rises to $650. Of the total amount, $100 is needed as a down payment at the time of registration.
Volunteers and ideas are also needed to help make next year's Starbuck Chinese Dragon Boat Races run as smoothly as possible. Those who would like to volunteer or contribute to the dragon boat races are asked to contact Vaadeland.

Kickoff
According to Vaadeland, the first kickoff fund-raiser for next year's Starbuck Dragon Boat Races will take place sometime in November. The event will feature a meal, silent auction, and live entertainment.
More details will be available at a later date.
