The Glacial Hills Elementary School Board convened Thursday evening for an emergency meeting after GHES Director Dyanne Parsons on Sept. 27 submitted her letter of resignation effective immediately.

GHES Board Chair Lara Amundson said last Wednesday the board plans to get an interum director in place as quickly as possible until a new school director can be hired.

There have been some inquiries on the director job and the board is actively seeking applicants who may be interest in the interim position or the long-term director job.

Parsons was first hired by the school in November 2006 as the school’s first employee.

Now in its second year, the Glacial Hills Elementary School’s K-6 enrollment has grown to over 100 students.
