On Wednesday, the American Red Cross Blood Mobile stopped by Minnewaska Area High School for the annual blood drive.

Event Coordinator Vickie Bösl said donors collected 87 units of blood, exceeding the goal of 80 units. A total of 51 people donated for the first time and one-gallon pins went out to Deb Schneider and Anne Major.

Pastor John Smith got his 12-gallon pin during the blood drive. Bösl and Nancy Reichman said a big thank you goes to the staff and students at MAHS for helping and giving.
