Visit Santa This Weekend

Following breakfast, Santa will travel across town to the Minnewaska Lutheran Home where he will visit with children to learn about their Christmas wishes, and give each child who comes a special treat. He will be taking Christmas requests at MLH from 1- 3 p.m. At the same time, a Live Nativity will be set up at the Depot from 1- 3 p.m., and free hot toddy’s will be served at Franny’s from 4- 6 p.m.

In addition to visiting with Santa, the day will include door prizes, giveaways, and specials at a number of local businesses. Some of the prizes include a meat and cheese tray drawing, a gift box of Christmas treats, gift certificates to local businesses, and a chance to sign up for a drawing for a 1/2 ct diamond ring.

Lowry Santa Day

Starbuck won’t be the only place Santa visits this weekend, as the Lowry Santa Day will be held on Sunday from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Lowry Community Center.

From 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. stop by for a soup and sandwich lunch fund-raiser. The proceeds from the event will go to the Lowry basketball and tennis courts.

Following the fund-raiser, Santa Claus will be visiting with children and gathering their Christmas lists from 1- 3 p.m. at the Lowry Community Center. For those stopping by the community center to visit with Santa, there will be sleigh rides taking people throughout the downtown Lowry area.

There will also be a variety of door prizes and crafts at the community center throughout Santa Day.
