There is a new face in the Minnewaska Home Care Department, but not a new face to the area.

Helen Stafsholt, who first began as a nurses aide at the former Starbuck Hospital, took over as the new Director of Home Care with Minnewaska Community Health Services on January 19.

Stafsholt said working at the former Starbuck Hospital while in high school, helped mold her love of nursing. In fact today, she said she "couldn't imagine doing anything else."

After working as the Director of Assisted Living for Parkview Court Assisted Living for the past 3 1/2 years, Stafsholt said she was looking for a job where she could remain as a nurse, but work on a part-time basis.
