The whole project - design, materials, fabrication and installation - were underwritten by Clyde Machines of Glenwood. Clyde Machines President Jennifer Barsness and company Vice President Araura Nestor said they're pleased to have been able to assist in the project and improve the museum's display capabilities.

Clyde Machines was established in Glenwood in 1961 by their father, the late Clyde Olson. Olson was always interested in "making new stuff" and made a career of designing new products especially for the farm and airline industries. Nearly 50 years after bringing his business to Glenwood, Clyde Olson's creative spirit and can-do attitude are evident not only at the company that bears his name but throughout our community.

The Old Settlers Association has assisted museum staff with refurbishing the frames and cleaning the glass resulting in a sparkling display of Pope County pioneers. Stop in and take a look! The Pope County Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 - 5.
