Jason Davis to feature several unique area restraunts
See Ch 5 "On The Road" Preview
Just one year after Cyrus was featured on "Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern," Starbuck, mn will get its chance to take center stage when "On the Road With Jason Davis" will showcase Dave's Doo Wop Coffee Shop on an upcoming episode.
Dave's Doo Wop Coffee Shop Owner Dave Nichtern said he recently received word that the coffee shop, as well as other unique diners from across the area including John O's Dinner Theatre from Brooten, will be featured on the May 17 episode of "On the Road With Jason Davis." The show is scheduled to air at 11 p.m. on KSTP Channel 5 (note the time change), and will re-air at 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, on KSTP. Those who cannot watch either of those time slots can also view the episode online at www.kstp.com (click on "On the Road") following the May 17 show.
Taped on the morning of December 12, Jason Davis stopped by the coffee shop to both interview Nichtern, and his long-time friend and rock legend Bobby Vee. Also attending the show's taping were Vee's sons Jeff and Tommy. Among the morning activities was a routine by four Minnewaska Area High School students who danced to one of Vee's legendary songs, "Rubber Ball," as part of the "On the Road With Jason Davis" stop at Dave's Place.
