Drug Bust In Starbuck

Edward Authur Sievert, Jr., was arrested on Thursday and charged with 5th Degree Controlled Substance crimes after the Starbuck Police Department, Pope County Sheriff Office and agents from the West Central MN Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in Starbuck.

According to a release from the Starbuck Police Department, a search warrant was executed at 304 East 6th St. in Starbuck on Thursday, July 30. While executing the search warrant officers found a marijuana growing operation, marijuana plants and many items associated with a growing operation.

According to the release, the items were found in a hidden room that appeared to be dug out in the home, and were subsequently seized.

The Stevens County Sheriff Office assisted in locating Sievert and arrested him for the Starbuck Police Department.

Assisting with the call was the Starbuck Police Department, Pope County Sheriff Office, Stevens County Sheriff Office, and the West Central MN Narcotics Task Force.
