H1N1 Vaccine Clinics This Week At Public Health

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Pope County Public Health will host H1N1 intranasal vaccination clinics

Vaccination clinic will be for three specific groups of people.


The H1N1 vaccine will be available for people in the following categories ONLY:

• Parents and caregivers of infants less than 6 months old

• Children ages 2-4 years old

• Healthcare providers

Clinics for these groups will be offered at the Pope County Health and Human Services building in Glenwood:

• Tuesday, Nov. 3

1-6:30 p.m.

• Wednesday, Nov. 4

8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Nov. 5

8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Intranasal (FluMist) vaccine is appropriate for persons ages 2 through 49 who are not pregnant and do not have underlying medical conditions. No injectable vaccine is available at these clinics. Clinics for additional populations will be scheduled as additional vaccine is received.

This is a walk-in clinic and there's no charge for the vaccine. Call Pope County Public Health at 634-5720 if you are interested or need to make an appointment for a different time.
