Annual FGC Flower Show planned for July 19

The official rules for the show are as follows:

1. Entries will be received from 8-10:30 a.m. ONLY.
2. Containers are furnished.
3. One entry per person in each class.
4. All entries must be grown by exhibitors and potted plants must have been cared for by that person.
5. Foliage must be left on the entry except below the water line in the vase.
6. Only authorized personnel    will be permitted on the floor during judging.
7. Entries should be picked up by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the show.
8. First, second, and third places will be awarded for each division when warranted by the judge.

Some suggestions to assist you when entering your flowers and plants:

1. Pick your flowers in the evening or early morning before the show and put them in warmwater immediately. Include foliage when possible but remove foliage that touches the water.
2. Be sure flowers and plants are clean. Also, clean pots before bringing them to the show.
3. When three blooms are required for the entry, three blooms of the same color will be judged ahead of  three blooms of different colors.
