Don’t forget about the “Magical Christmas in Glenwood” planning meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday, September 21) at the Chamber office. The meeting will begin at 5:30 and is expected to last approximately 2 hours (max). Pizza and beverages will be provided – If you have ideas to share as to what you would like to see happening as part of our “family friendly & FREE” holiday events, please make plans to attend and share your thoughts!

Next week, we also have our Organizational Focus Group meeting scheduled, which we ask that at least one representative from each of our non-profits, civic, and service organizations attends to share what your group is working on, when you meet, what needs you could use assistance with, and what you might have to offer another group in the area. This focus group is facilitated through the Chamber as a discussion and idea sharing group. Two of the featured topics that are being carried over from the last meeting is the 100th Anniversary for the City of Glenwood (2012) and the 150th Anniversary of Pope County (2015), along with other new/upcoming activities, events, and projects of our groups. At the present time, the meeting is scheduled for next week, Wednesday, September 28 from 5:30 – 7:30. Again, pizza and refreshments will be served. The meeting location is yet to be determined as the group may be too large for the Chamber meeting space… Watch your emails for the updated location within the next couple of days! We hope to see you or someone that can represent you at that meeting also!

I have been asked to forward this information on behalf of some of our Chamber members regarding upcoming events,
end of the season schedules, and a Going-Out-of-Business Sale.
