Starbuck Resident in court April 28th

Dustin Dean Taylor, 25, Starbuck, pled guilty to one felony count of Fifth Degree Possession of drugs in Pope County District Court on Wednesday, April 28.

As part of the guilty plea, Taylor was sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $1,000 and will serve five years of probation. Taylor will receive credit for 97 days of time already served and must remain law abiding, have no same or similar offenses, no alcohol/controlled substance use, be subject to random testing, take a chemical dependency evaluation/treatment, sign probation agreement, and follow all instructions of probation.

Two other felony counts of Third Degree and Fifth Degree possession of drugs were dismissed.

According to court documents, the charges stem from an October 6 search warrant that was executed at 725 John St. in Starbuck which turned up an undisclosed amount of narcotics
