Dear Chamber Members and Friends!
First, we would like to congratulate the following individuals on their recent elections to the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce (listed in alphabetical order by last name):

Next, we would like to notify each of you of the following announcements:
- Today, Glenwood State Bank is honoring Dennis Martinson for his 50 years of service at Glenwood State Bank with an open house at the Glenwood location. Please see the attached flyer for additional details! Congratulations Dennis on your anniversary celebration and know that we appreciate your continued work and dedication to the Glenwood State Bank and the Glenwood Lakes area!
- This coming Saturday, Andes Tower Hills will be honored between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. as the November Chamber Member of the Month. Please consider stopping by Andes for some cake and beverages and check out all that they have to offer! Congratulations Andes Tower Hills.
- Santa will be visiting the Minnewaska Area Elementary School next week, on Tuesday, December 22 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Chamber staff and volunteers will be busy stuffing goodie bags for all of the elementary kids on Monday afternoon at the elementary school in Glenwood beginning at 3:30 p.m. If you are able to volunteer to help stuff goodie bags or to help Santa on Tuesday, please contact the Chamber office to have us put your name on the list and to choose the shift that you would like to work. We certainly appreciate any assistance that you can offer.
- The Chamber Holiday "Shop Locally" Promotion will continue through this coming Monday, December 21 at 3:00 p.m. when we will be drawing for three (3) $100 sets of Minnewaska Dollars and one (1) Grand Casino Standard Room package (overnight stay at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs Hotel - standard room) with a FREE Buffet for two. Remember to save your receipts from local spending for your chance to enter the drawing. Every $65.00 in receipts qualifies you for one chance in the drawing up to a maximum of 10 chances! Receipts will be accepted up until 2:45 p.m. Monday for the drawing at 3:00 p.m. Good luck to all of the entrants!
- Stop by the Chamber office on Monday during our Holiday Open House for some cider, cookies, and other exciting opportunities to enhance our local communities! Our holiday open house will be held Monday, December 21, from 12:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m.
- Bug-a-Boo Bay in Alexandria will be closing its doors at the end of this month, so if you are one of the many that may have a gift certificate for their establishment, please remember that time is running out to redeem your gift certificates.
- The Chamber office will be closed on the following dates:
- Thursday-Friday, December 24-25 in honor of the Christmas holiday
- Thursday-Friday, December 31-January 1 in honor of the New Years Holiday
- Friday's during the months of January, February, and March but will return to the regular business hours beginning in April 2010!
