Office Update

Anne is now fully trained and working on her own when necessary, which is a big help as we are now able to be open 5 days a week. I am here Monday through Thursday and Anne is here Tuesday through Friday. We both work 8 - 4. It was a very busy holiday season with donations coming in to make every one's Christmas a little brighter. What a reminder of how rewarding this job is when someone comes in and begins to cry because they can receive a scarf, mittens or quilt for Christmas. We also had wonderful donations of toys so we got those out to families.

Next Big Event

We are busy writing sponsor letters and planning the Ladies of All Ages Tea. As plans are finalized I will update you on entertainment and menu. We do have a new location for the event this year. We have moved to Lakeside Ballroom. This will simplify the amount of time getting the space ready and the food is prepared right there. Along with deciding to move we had to make a decision to move the day of the week as Lakeside is busy on Saturdays. This year it will be held on Sunday May 22 from 1 - 3.  We will be again selling teacups with prizes inside, there were comments that they were missed last year. We are looking again for hostesses, waitresses an baked goods, call if you can help with this.

Needs

Sadly we have helped furnish several houses in the last couple months. It was a joy to have items available to do this but has left our supplies greatly depleted.
Large items needed include: Beds, dressers, couches, kitchen tables and chairs. Currently the storage unit has 5 living room chairs.
Medium items needed: toasters, coffee pots, can openers,dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and bakeware
Small items needed: laundry detergent, body wash paper towel. We have quite a bit of cleaning supplies, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner and toothpaste.
