The weather was fine on Wednesday, but Thursday was windy, good thing the girls tee'd off in the morning. After day one, MAHS lead the strong Redwing team by 14 strokes. Sara Roering had low score the first day with a 71, and Allie Ostrander was second with a round of 73. All MAHS girls had good scores the first day and the top 4 girls totaled 305 strokes. Redwing followed with 319 strokes for the top 4 girls. Other teams were quite a ways back.
Now, day 2, Pleasant but windy weather, warming through the afternoon. The high winds made shot placement difficult for everyone. The girls finished before the storm system hit the Jordan area. The low two scores for this day were again, Sarah Roering with a 79 and Allie Ostrander 77. Add it up. BOTH Sarah and Allie take FIRST PLACE IN STATE INDIVIDUAL and the MAHS team won the State Title for the 5th year in a row with a two day total of 632 !
